It’s been incredibly exciting mobilizing on behalf of teachers as an ETT Executive Officer for over four years and this year as an ETFO Provincial Executive Board member.

Thanks to our incredible members we've been a strong voice in upholding our collective agreement and quality public education.

During this difficult time of contract negotiations our solidarity is essential, as we struggle to defend our hard won rights. As a strong advocate for our right to collectively bargain, an active user of social media, and an effective communicator, I am dedicated to our fight for our rights.

We care deeply about our youth and public education. We must continue to protect a public school system that guarantees that all students' needs are met with adequate resources and support, smaller class sizes, and safe schools.

We must STOP: Workload overload, large class sizes, the attack on our salaries, sick benefits and pensions, underfunding our public education system and school closures.

Let's continue to engage members and build on our collective strength to INCREASE SUPPORT for members, RESPECT for us, our work and our communities, more ESL, Special Education and Arts funding, MORE TEACHER CONTROL over teaching assignments and a FULLY FUNDED QUALITY PUBLIC EDUCATION system.

Our voices are essential in education and we deserve respect, fairness and autonomy. As union members we can work together to protect our rights and public education.

Together, we can continue to build a strong union.
